Ho Chi Minh Campaign Museum
The museum showcases artifacts, images, and maps related to the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975, culminating in the complete victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the reunification of North and South. Covering an area of approximately 6000 m2, the museum consists of two floors and an outdoor exhibition area.
Outdoors, the museum preserves significant items such as the T54 tank with the number 848 - the first tank to enter Independence Palace on April 30, 1975, the F5E aircraft - a plane from the US Air Force shot down during the campaign, various artillery pieces (A37, 57, 76, 105, 130mm) used by the Liberation Army, the A37 aircraft - a plane from the Saigon air force captured during the campaign, and the M113 armored personnel carrier - a vehicle from the Saigon forces.
Inside the building, the museum exhibits artifacts, images, and maps related to different stages of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign. Display rooms are organized thematically, covering topics such as the political-military situation before launching the campaign, the preparation and deployment process, offensives and uprisings in southern provinces, and the complete liberation of the South. In these rooms, valuable items include campaign maps, directives from Uncle Ho, plans from the General Command, reports from the campaign command, weapons, uniforms, badges, medals, banners, slogans, posters, documents, press materials, photos, and more. A special display room recreates the working space of the campaign command in Tay Ninh.
The Ho Chi Minh Campaign Museum is a captivating tourist destination for those interested in exploring military history.
