THAM TAT TONG RELIC
Tham Tat Tong relic is right next to Bo Ban, Chieng An commune, Son La town. The location of the relic is located to the east and north of Son La town, 2km from the town centre. The road to the relic is relatively convenient, you can go by many different means, from the centre of Son La, along the car route Son La - Thuy Dien, go to Ban Ca bridge, then turn left along the road. According to a local legend, the water in Tat Tong cave originates from Chieng Pac commune, Thuan Chau district, and flows to the cave to create a stream of water from Tat Tong cave to today's Nam La stream. And the most special feature here is that the cooler the summer, the warmer it is when the winter comes.
Experiencing so many rapids, passing through countless mountain ranges, that stream of water drifted back from the source far away. According to legend, this is also an image of resilient boys, not afraid of difficulties and hardships, facing many dangers, rapids, rocky mountains, high passes and valleys. , from the far uplands to the lowlands, which is present-day Muong La.

Due to the unique nature of the cave's topography, the landscape here is tinged with tranquillity, so the local creators have used this cave to make their luxury entertainment under the feudal regime. Every 2nd and 3rd lunar month every year, people in the area are forced to build boats and rafts to bring them into caves to play, relax, sightsee, visit, gamble and drink. They say that this is a natural cave, created by nature, so it is of course used only for the great mandarins, working people like them are not allowed to have fun, rest, sightseeing. But when peace was restored, that Bo Ca stream became gentle and extremely docile, serving the daily life of the people of Son La ethnic groups. When the American empire destroyed it, creating a period of terrible war and countless deprivations, Tat Tong Cave appeared as a place that played an extremely important role, as the headquarters that played the role of directing the people of different ethnic groups. ethnic groups in Son La from June to October 1945.
